Piñatex® is a by-product of the agricultural industry, no extra land, water or pesticides are required to produce the raw material. The sourcing of pineapple leaf fibre also presents farmers with extra source of work and income, making it a sustainable product both environmentally and economically.

To keep your Piñatex® product in top condition, we recommend to wax Piñatex® products before use and thereafter on a regular basis. For bags, use a natural wax and for shoes use either natural wax or the correct colour shoe polish. After application, leave the product in a warm place for 24 hours and rub gently with a soft cloth.

We also recommend using Liquiproof Protector™, a natural non-toxic coating that will make the product water and stain resistant.
